Hello, dear reader!

 

    Welcome to Bongo's Bumbles! This is a friendly blog, open to anyone who enjoys geeky stuff or a little reading. I generally post about whatever is on my mind here, but most of the time, the topic is either books, artist made dolls, movies, TV shows, anime, video games, nostalgia or digital artwork and design. When it comes to the shows, movies and books, I usually tend to write brief essay posts with photos and video included, so if you enjoy deep dives, welcome aboard! If not, that's alright, too. I also do some not-so-serious posts from time to time, though those are more often about artist made dolls and doll accessories. Sometimes video games, as well. Additionally, I love pineapple on pizza and I do not care how much time has passed, I will still listen to My Chemical Romance. Do with that what you will.

    I would like to be known here as The Lady or T.L.. I am an adult woman diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and I enjoy artist made dolls, doll accessories, gaming and weird little fandoms. I write on this blog as a way of sharing what makes me light up, general thoughts, analyses and, from time to time, to offer help or advice for other doll collectors out there. Also, my dolls will sometimes make appearances as characters, so be on the lookout for that! ;)

A Survey of The Docks

  Players having conversations at the PonyTown docks.     The PonyTown docks are a complete mixed bag of fandoms. There is never any one single fandom completely overtaking this space, although Pokémon came very close in early 2025, with there being quite a few players utilizing pocket monster themed skins while spending their time in the area. There is a dedicated theme for this area though on the 18+ server that I play on that usually stays with players hanging out on the 'wooden' part of the docks though. Often times, over there, players can be seen with skins that have noticeable makeup or headphone accessories disguised to resemble bare chests while they advertise private party islands designed for adult themes. You might say the docks is the " red light district " of the 18+ server on PonyTown, but it is actually more than that.         The docks are also one of the main fandom crossing spots and also the go-to place if you are unafraid of...

Incoming Post!

  Something Good Is Coming...!        I am aware that it has been two whole days since my last post on this blog. But I have been working on a post with a lot of meat and potatoes to it the entire time. I would say I'm almost halfway through it now, so it should be posted in the near future. If you all would like a hint, it's about something that was wildly popular among young girls in the nineties and it had something to do with a certain... spirit.   Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson.         Treasure Island was written by Robert Louis Stevenson and was originally published on November 14th, 1843. The story focuses on a young man named Jim Hawkins as he sets sail with a seaworthy band of pirates in search of a legendary island renowned for a wealth of treasure. It is a tale of high seas adventure, firm friendships and bonds tested by exploration, disaster and mutiny. For generations, this novel has been classic and possibly even required reading for any and all pirate fanatics and nautical-loving readers alike. The author of this blog is a bit embarrassed to admit that they have never exactly read the book all the way through before.
